Orchestras Live delivers unique and high-quality live orchestral experiences to a vast range of communities across England. Last year we worked with 65 investing partners and 20 professional orchestras to engage 44,829 people in live orchestral experiences.

ABO Conference 2018 highlights
The Orchestras Live team joined industry colleagues at the Association of British Orchestras annual conference at the end of January. Inspired by the sector conversation, we asked the team for their highlights.
Side by Side film, CLS South Northants
Working with City of London Sinfonia and music leader John K Miles, 140 early stage instrumentalists from South Northamptonshire took part in this Ten Pieces inspired project.
The Hallé at Darlington Hippodrome
The Hallé will be performing at Darlington Hippodrome next week following it’s recent restoration and grand reopening back in November 2017. Local young instrumentalists performed a new fanfare at the reopening ceremony, which was composed especially for the occasion.
Adrian Lee Describes a Positive Future for Disabled Musicians
We are delighted that Adrian Lee will be working with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in a placement supported through, and part of, our programme of mentoring and skills development for emerging Disabled music leaders.
Annual Review 2016/17
We are pleased to share our Annual Review for 2016/17. This review gives us a rare opportunity to step back from the detail of bespoke activities and look at them in a broader context. Our determination to challenge assumptions and develop ways to engage new audiences permeates our work and we’re really proud of what our partnerships achieved this year.
Sound Around Year Two
The second year of our national Sound Around project with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra is getting well underway. Throughout December, an octet of musicians from the RPO visited special schools across Carlisle, Lowestoft and Reading to perform a series of specially-devised concerts.
Lullaby Concerts 2017 – Mission complete
