30th anniversary of M&G Concerts in Chelmsford

Recently, we joined partners at Chelmsford Civic Theatre to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the M&G sponsorship of their concert series, with a performance by the Northern Chamber Orchestra and guitarist Craig Ogden featuring Andy Scott’s Guitar Concerto.

Saturday 7th April, was a fantastic evening where Chelmsford City Council, was able to celebrate 30 years of support and sponsorship from M&G Investments. It represents the longest continuous partnership of its type.

M&G’s ground-breaking commitment has been incredible and provides a shining example for future partnerships that can enable the city’s ambitions for its cultural future.

We’re proud to be involved in this remarkable partnership to which M&G have remained committed for such a significant time, and look forward to working with them, and our partners at the council on ambitious plans for the future.

M&G Investments has been pleased to play its part in helping to provide top quality classical music through the Classical Concert Series, enabling and supporting performances by national and international musicians, which have delighted audiences from Chelmsford, the wider Essex community and further afield.

Anna Emtage, Charity and Community Relations Manager, M&G Investments

We have a shared vision to relaunch the series with a wider range of events designed for different audiences, building on the relaxed concerts that were introduced last year. Orchestras Live will continue to play a key role in co-curating and producing the new series, beginning in the autumn.

Details will be added to our Concert Listings pages as they are finalised.
