Able Orchestra perform as part of BBC Music Day 2017

We are delighted that Able Orchestra was invited to take part in BBC Music Day 2017, which took place on Thursday 15 June, where the musicians performed a new piece specially created for the day.

Able Orchestra is an evolving project based on the principle of enabling young people to create and perform music on equal terms, regardless of their physical dexterity or musical experience.

Their performance as part of BBC Music Day was featured by BBC East Midlands and we are grateful to the BBC for allowing us to share this footage here.

You can watch a film of Able Orchestra’s BBC Music Day performance below.

Orchestras Live’s previous production with Able Orchestra was an inspiring performance at last summer’s BBC Proms, and this year makes part of a day that aims to unite communities and generations through their love of music.
