Creative Journeys research project
Creative Journeys in Brentwood with Sinfonia Viva (c) Paul Starr
Led by Anglia Ruskin University and Essex County Council Cultural Development Team with the Older People’s Research Group Essex, Creative Journeys explores the impact of participatory arts in care on the social relationships of older people.
Orchestras Live’s project with Sinfonia Viva in Brentwood in October 2017 formed part of this larger activity, and we are pleased to be involved with a free interim event that will be sharing an overview of the project as a whole, as well as presentations from the other arts organisation involved including Green Candle Dance Comapny, Age Exchange Reminiscence Arts and Magic Me Intergenerational Arts. Partnership Manager Stuart Bruce will give a presentation about the Brentwood activity alongside Andrew Nesbitt from Sinfonia Viva, project leader Sam Glazer and Leanne Cole, Manager at one of the participating care homes.
There will also be initial findings shared from the research in three care homes across Essex, along with opportunities for networking.
This event will take place on Monday 5 March 1.30-4.30pm at the Essex Record Office. Click here to find out more and book your place if you would like to attend.
