Produced by Ploszajski Lynch Consulting Ltd, this independent evaluation has concluded that “the project has achieved some impressive results. Applying the lessons learnt from the work will enable the roll-out of legacy activities to build upon the initial successes, to achieve lasting benefits and significantly influence best practice in audience development going forward.”
Henry Little (Chief Executive of Orchestras Live) said: “We are delighted with the success of First Time Live – Youth which placed young people at the heart of a world class orchestral concert. As well as delivering an inspirational and thrilling experience of hearing a live orchestra, the project challenged current models of making classical music for young people. Putting participants at the centre of our work is a central pillar of our approach and we have many more exciting projects in the pipeline that build upon the principles we’ve established with First Time Live – Youth.”
