Orchestras Live message will reach further, thanks to Rhinegold award

Orchestras Live has been chosen as the recipient of this year’s Rhinegold Charity Fund.

The scheme offers £10,000 worth of advertising for charities to spend across Rhinegold’s flagship classical music publications and websites including Classical Music, Opera Now and Music Teacher, as well as marketing, design and account management support from Rhinegold.

Sarah Derbyshire, Chief Executive of Orchestras Live, said:

‘We are delighted to be selected for the 2017 Rhinegold Charity Fund. Orchestras Live is a small organisation with great ambition. We believe that orchestras are for everyone, and work in culturally under-served communities to reach audiences regardless of age, location or background.

The platform offered by Rhinegold Publishing will significantly develop our efforts to expand that reach, to ensure our impact can be more widely felt by audiences and our influence extend right across the orchestral sector.

The year ahead features many exciting activities, co-produced with our promoter and orchestral partners, and designed to provide inclusive and innovative opportunities for people to engage with high quality orchestral experiences. Throwing new light on the orchestral world in today’s society, Orchestras Live looks forward to sharing its insights with Rhinegold readers.’

Stephen Turvey, Chairman of the Rhinegold Charity Fund, said:

‘It was another year of excellent applicants for the Rhinegold Charity Fund. In selecting the winner, Orchestras Live, I was impressed not just by the work they undertake to bring top quality live classical music to their audience, but also by the partnerships they have created and nurtured with orchestras, musicians and Classic FM. They have a clearly stated, important mission and I hope that winning the Fund will help them on their way.’

Previous recipients of the fund include Southbank Sinfonia, the Young Classical Artists Trust, Live Music Now and Pro Corda Trust.
