Orchestras Live is pleased to welcome George Davies as our new Communications Assistant.
George hails from the rural Isle of Wight, but moved to second city after studying his degree in English with Drama at the University of Birmingham. Based in the midlands, he is well-placed for interacting with the broad national range of Orchestras Live’s projects. He brings a range of marketing and communications experience from an internship at B:Music (who manage Birmingham Town Hall and Symphony Hall), marketing work in hospitality and volunteering for the Birmingham and Midland Institute, where he is now a Trustee.
He is excited to be turning his passion for the arts into a career, as he also works part time for Birmingham-based early music choir Ex Cathedra’s Education and Participation department. Outside of his time working in arts communication and participation, George also plays piano and sings in the Central Birmingham chapter of The People’s Show Choir, and makes the most of all the arts, theatre and live music going on in his adoptive home town.
We’re delighted to welcome George to the Orchestras Live team. This new role will enable us to continue to grow the reach of our brand and shout even louder about the vital work that we do.
George started working with us at the start of November.
