We are pleased to announce the appointment of two new trustees who will join the Board of Orchestras Live at our next AGM at the end of November: Caroline Maurice, independent regulatory compliance and governance specialist, and Jo Towler, Executive Director of Music in the Round, Sheffield.
Caroline and Jo join as the organisation focuses its creative energy and extensive experience as a collaborator and producer to co-ordinate and lead an innovative orchestral sector response to Covid-19. We will champion work that is radical and relevant, responding to the creative ambitions of the communities where we work.
"Our process of open recruitment has once again attracted excellent new trustees who bring diverse experience of high relevance to the challenges we at Orchestras Live and the whole orchestral sector face over the coming months and years. I am delighted to welcome Caroline and Jo, and look forward to all that they can contribute to the working of our keen and committed board."Tony Stoller, Chair of Orchestras Live
“Orchestras Live continually refreshes its trustee body, adding to the expertise and range of voices represented in our deliberations. At a time when the cultural sector is under severe pressure, our trustees play a vital role in underpinning the stability of the organisation and helping us plan for the future. I’m looking forward to working with our new trustees and have no doubt that they will bring new perspectives that will help advance our vision.”Sarah Derbyshire, CEO of Orchestras Live
