Brand Consultant

Opportunities

Orchestras Live is looking for a brand consultant to lead a brand strategy and messaging review between July and December 2026.

Brand Strategy & Messaging Review

We are undertaking a brand strategy and messaging review in 2026 to strengthen how we communicate who we are, what we do, and the value we bring to the arts and culture sector.

We now deliver both charitable activity programmes and paid for impact and evaluation services, and we need a clearer, more coherent narrative that brings these together in a way that feels natural, confident, and sector appropriate.

At present, we communicate with two audiences with two sets of needs, which has resulted in two parallel narratives. The brand review will give us the unified story we have been missing.

After this work, we expect to have one story and one voice, where our evaluation services feel like a natural extension of our mission rather than a separate strand.

This review will help us:

  • build a clearer, more confident organisational voice
  • simplify our messaging for our range of stakeholders
  • strengthen how we talk about both our programmes and our services
  • prepare for a cleaner, more intuitive website in 2027

This tender covers brand strategy and messaging only. Visual identity, design, and website development are explicitly out of the scope.

Project Timeline

The project is expected to follow these broad phases:

  • End June: Consultant appointed
  • July - September: Research and stakeholder engagement
  • October - November: Strategy and messaging development
  • December: Finalisation and implementation roadmap

Consultants may propose alternative sequencing or structures, provided the final outputs are delivered by end of December 2026.

Required Skills & Experience

We are seeking a consultant with:

  • Demonstrable experience in brand strategy for charities, arts organisations, or purpose driven organisations
  • Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Expertise in narrative and messaging development
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a small team
  • Clear communication and strategic thinking
