Information for those involved in our Share Sound projects in Cumbria, Durham and Darlington, Lincolnshire, Norfolk, Nottinghamshire and Suffolk.
Share Sound is a unique opportunity to create new inclusive ensembles where young people can compose, curate, rehearse, perform and record new music digitally, working alongside music professionals. Over the next few months you will explore the digital creative space for ensemble music making, together with 6 Music Hubs, 3 professional orchestras and an artistic team led by composer James Redwood.
The new music you create will be produced digitally and premiered in a virtual finale on 7 July 2021. Each new ensemble will also perform their new music in live performances during the summer term, government regulations permitting.

An introduction to Share Sound from James Redwood, Artistic Director
Listen to James's playlists
"These are collections of instrumental tracks which show just some of the incredible directions people are taking music in. Some tracks are completely acoustic whilst others have some element of electronic music along side. I hope you'll enjoy the range of textures, feels and approaches and that it will inspire your own music-making."
