Durham Music Virtual Orchestra (DMVO) are working with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment (OAE) on Share Sound. You’ll create your own music inspired by the dance themes of your repertoire this year.
OAE musicians took part in DMVO rehearsals in the autumn to introduce Baroque instruments and performance techniques as you rehearsed Corelli’s Christmas Concerto. Have a look at their videos here:
During the spring, DMVO are exploring new repertoire including Florence Price’s Juba Dance from Symphony No. 1 and Mambo from West Side Story.
