We're delighted to announce the appointment of Giles Wright as the new Chair of the Board of Trustees.
Giles has 20 years cross-sector experience in designing structures, processes, and cultures that enable teams to innovate, perform at their best and adapt to change.
With a first-class degree in product design and a career spanning national
programmes, integrated systems and organisation transformation, Giles brings a unique blend of systems thinking, inclusive design and organisational strategy to Orchestras Live.
He spent 13 years in the NHS navigating one of the most complex organisational systems in the world. During that time he learned to spot patterns others miss. Now he helps growing businesses do the same through his practice From Here.

Giles' initial term as Chair of the Board will run until 2028. Reflecting on his appointment, Giles says:
"I believe passionately that music has the power to uplift, connect, and transform lives. To be a positive disruption and open doors for people to new possibilities.
Orchestras Live’s mission to bring world-class orchestral experiences to communities that might not otherwise have access to them; deeply resonates with me.
What draws me most to Orchestras Live is its commitment to creativity as a force for change. In today’s landscape, where funding uncertainties and shifting public priorities pose real challenges, we must think boldly and act innovatively.
The chance to play a part in shaping Orchestras Live’s future—to amplify its impact and help create transformative musical experiences for all—is one that truly excites me."
