Helen is the Music Director and Conductor of the Young Sinfonia, the Royal Northern Sinfonia’s youth orchestra, Conductor and Artistic Lead for the University of Liverpool in partnership with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, and Music Director for the award winning Blackpool Symphony Orchestra and Preston Opera.

Guest conducting includes Sinfonia Viva, the BBC Concert Orchestra, Royal Northern Sinfonia, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Bath Philharmonic, Northern Silents Sinfonia, Sinfonia Smith Square, English Touring Opera, Northern Opera Group and the National Children’s Orchestra.

Prior to pursuing her vocation as a conductor Helen, a qualified accountant, held senior management roles in the corporate sector working for FTSE 100 and 250 companies in the UK and overseas. Helen has extensive experience working in the not for profit sector working as a non-executive Chair of Lancashire Mind.
