Orchestras Live is pleased to welcome Claire Henderson into her new role as Community Impact Coordinator - North.
Claire is a Liverpool-based artist, producer, and project manager. With a background in visual arts, youth work, and community-led projects, she has delivered creative experiences that focus on co-authorship, placemaking, and moments of celebration.
She is excited to join Orchestras Live's team in the North, bringing her skills in fostering community and youth voice to strengthen partnerships that put people at the heart of the work.

As a community choir member, Claire witnesses the wonder of making music together and the harmony it creates. Her involvement in an intergenerational choir has shown her how shared creative experiences build both individual wellbeing and local pride.
Before joining Orchestras Live, Claire managed dot-art, an independent Liverpool gallery supporting local artists and offering creative courses and affordable art for the local audiences.
Her previous roles include: Learning Assistant at Liverpool Biennial (the UK’s largest international contemporary arts festival), Learning Intern at Tate Liverpool, and Youth Worker for The Proud Trust, an LGBT+ youth charity.
As a freelance artist, Claire’s textile-based practice has led to workshops, installations, and exhibitions, showcasing her commitment to participatory creativity.
Passionate about her working-class roots, Claire believes art should be for everyone, regardless of background. In her role as Community Impact Coordinator, she is excited to continue championing access, equity, and life-affirming experiences for the communities she will work with.
