Charlotte Hartley appointed new Regional Producer - East
NewsNews Story
Orchestras Live is pleased to welcome Charlotte Hartley into her new role as Regional Producer - East.
Growing up on the Norfolk and Suffolk border, Charlotte enjoyed incredible artistic opportunities in the East of England. The ability to see, learn from, and play with artists at a young age was profound for Charlotte as a young singer.
She spent her teenage years hoping to end up on concert hall or opera house stages. It was at university, studying English Literature and Drama, that she realised her interests and skills were better suited to producing and supporting the creation of work. Following this, she pursued an MA in Creative Production.
Since then, Charlotte has worked in multiple roles at Britten Pears Arts. Firstly, as the Assistant Producer for their residency programme, supporting artist development through project creation, and most recently as their Producer, leading on Opera and Music Theatre.
In the four years in the role, she produced several new works alongside reimagining of works from the canon, to critical and artistic acclaim. In between these roles, she worked at the Royal Ballet and Opera, as one of the opera producers for the Linbury Theatre.

Charlotte is delighted to join Orchestras Live and help develop the incredible work already happening in her home region. She is particularly focused on strengthening the musical infrastructure of the East of England.
Having experienced firsthand the transformative power of live music, Charlotte knows how vital access to these opportunities can be. Without them, she might never have pursued a career in the arts, and she hopes to support similarly inspiring experiences for others.
Outside of work, Charlotte can usually be found walking around East Anglia, chasing a new personal best in the 10km, or enjoying delicious dinners with friends.
